Mrs McKeown's Update - Wednesday 25th March (PM)

25 March 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne))

Good afternoon.

A number of you have been asking about the Easter holidays and what is planned. At the moment Lancashire County Council are trying to sort this out by collecting numbers of staff and children from all schools to see the best way forward . As soon as I know I will let you know.
However, can I still urge you to  make arrangements where you can for childcare away from school  Stay at home :  the Government is  insisting is the most important thing to do if it is a viable option for your family. The sooner this can be done the better chance we all have to keep well and the virus to not be as devastating to our families as it has been in Italy and other countries.
School reports are being completed by teachers and hopefully will arrive to you by email by the 3rd April.
Can you have a read of the attached information from WHO which I  have sent through to you to hopefully help with the stress the situation is bringing upon children at this time.
As I  mentioned yesterday the  time spent with your children is not all about progress  and covering lots of work but to make sure your children are feeling loved and kept safe .We need to think about the long term  effects on our children and ourselves.
