Daily Catch UP

18 March 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne))

Good morning.

I hope you are finding these daily catchups useful. Please understand schools are only finding out as much as anyone else at this time.

I have 28% of our staff on self isolation at the moment due  to underlying medical issues. Our remaining staff are stepping into roles they would not usually take on. Our main aim is to keep the children safe and also  engaged with their learning. I understand some children are struggling with the amount of handwashing we are doing and it is affecting their skin. If you would like to  send in some barrier cream for them to apply after each hand wash please feel free to do so.
* if you choose to keep your child at home at the moment please email your classteacher as well as the office. Classteachers will then send home some learning activities. Can you ensure you are signed up with Seesaw as some activities will be sent home through this.
* if you have to drop off  anything for your children they may have forgotten can you bring it to the porch, ring the bell and then leave it for us to collect and pass on? I am sure you can  understand why.
*there is an extra helpline that has just been introduced for parents/staff to access . The contact  number is 08000468687 and email is DFE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
* if you have booked clubs that usually run after school for example Little Zoo , music, Spanish can you contact them directly to discuss if they are running.
Thank you for your continued support at this unprecedented time. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss anything associated with my  updates.
