Covid-19
Yesterday the government announced that the UK will be entering the delay phase of its plans to tackle the Coronavirus.
They have updated their advice on what steps people should take.
The Government have advised that unless specifically effected schools should remain open, However , although the risk to children remains low we have to adhere to the advice the Government has given in relation to this outbreak.
Anyone with a "new, continuous" cough, sore throat or high temperature is now advised to self-isolate for seven days and contact 111 online.
If your child develops symptoms at school we have no alternative but to contact you and ask you to follow the self-isolation steps. Where you have sibling in school and one develops symptoms we are recommending that all children follow the isolation steps.
As you will appreciate, information is changing by the hour at the moment and we will update you with any new information as and when we get it.
We understand the difficulties that you many face and greatly appreciate your understanding and support at this time.
