There is a good deal of media coverage at the moment on full opening of schools in September. Just before the children finished for Summer, I sent out a risk assessment for you all to see how we at Longsands will be supporting the full opening. At this moment in time this risk assessment still stands however bearing in mind the Scottish schools are due to start next week our guidelines may change.
Staff are in school preparing classrooms, planning a recovery curriculum for your children and sorting resources ready for the Autumn term. They are also accessing various avenues of training to enable them to support your children through the first few weeks of school . This includes mental health wellbeing and any traumas your children may have experienced.
I will be in touch near the end of the Summer to let you know of any changes and also instructions on timings and entry into school.
