Mrs McKeown's Update Thursday 4th June 4 June 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne)) |
Once again thank you for your patience whilst we wait for the go ahead from LCC to start to open up to more children . In the meantime the classrooms for Year 1 are ready, the cleaning stations are ready and the playground drop off and pick up routine is ready.
Next week we will send through details to prepare Year 6 for a possible return later in the term.
Discovery Vine are contacting parents to gauge interest in using their holiday club over the summer break. We are hoping to have our long awaited new boiler fitted over five weeks of the holiday which will cause a good deal of disruption inside school as new heaters in each room will need fitting. We have been lucky enough for LCC to realise how inefficient and unreliable our present boiler is, so they will be paying for the refurbishment!!
Reminder about the possibility of buying school ties via the PTFA ; if enough parents show an interest, and this has been very positive so far, we can have them in stock on school site for you to buy. Also remember the new royal blue tank tops that can be bought through Key alongside the usual jumpers and cardigans.
For those keyworker parents sending their children into school at the moment , I know a number have outgrown their shoes! For the rest of this term it is fine for your child to wear trainers. This will be the same for Years 1 and 6 children if they return before the end of term.
Keep in touch
Mrs McKeown
